ニューヨークで75年ぶりの再演となるミュージカル"LOVE LIFE"（ラブライフ）。劇場での稽古中、なんと舞台裏で驚きのニュースが飛び込んできました！
キャスト仲間から「NYタイムズ紙の記事のカバー写真に載ってるよ！」と言われ、見せてもらうと……そこには、驚き顔の自分がドーンと！😳😂
まさかの瞬間にびっくりしつつも、大好きな舞台に立たせていただけること、そして心から尊敬するアーティストの皆さんと一緒に創り上げる日々に、改めて感謝の気持ちが溢れました🙏✨

ヴィクトリアさんといえば、私が演劇学校時代にリンカーンセンターで観た Light in the Piazza、そして昨年まで上演されていた Kimberly Akimbo でトニー賞2冠を受賞された大女優。そんな方とご一緒できる日が来るなんて🥹 当時の私にとっては雲の上の存在でした。
さらに、地元石川県で中学校＆高校生時代にテレビで何度もVHSが擦り切れるほど観たブロードウェイの祭典「トニー賞授賞式🏆」。画面の向こうの大スターだったBrian Stokes Mitchell（ブライアン・ストークス・ミッチェル）さんと、今は同じ舞台に立たせていただいていることにも、ただただ唖然とするばかりです。彼の圧巻の歌声、寛大で温かいお人柄😭

While I was completely surprised by the unexpected moment, I was once again overwhelmed with gratitude for being able to stand on a stage I truly love, and to spend my days creating alongside artists I deeply respect. 🙏✨

Speaking of Victoria Clark—she's the legendary actress I saw at Lincoln Center back in drama school in The Light in the Piazza, and who just recently won her second Tony Award for Kimberly Akimbo. To think I now get to work with her… She was once a distant star in the sky for me.
And as if that weren't enough… Back when I was in middle and high school in my hometown of Ishikawa, I used to watch recordings of the Tony Awards on VHS so many times that the tape literally wore out. I never imagined I'd one day be sharing the stage with Brian Stokes Mitchell—the Broadway legend I watched through the TV screen, now standing beside me in this very production. His breathtaking voice and his generous, warm spirit just leave me speechless.
Surrounded by the very best role models, I'm learning and absorbing so much every single day.
